The 8th InterDive trade fair in Friedrichshafen was the first major trade fair in Baden-Württemberg after the lockdown - together with the Interboot - to be successfully concluded. Taking into account a comprehensive hygiene and safety concept, a total of four days of the fair revolved around diving. Almost 80 exhibitors from the diving industry presented various products in Hall B5: from diving trips to diving equipment, diving jewelry, training and diving courses to marine protection organizations, there was a colorful and informative mix for the trade fair guests from the border triangle.
The mood among the trade fair visitors was very good, and the individual and personal atmosphere in the exhibition hall was particularly appreciated. Wide aisles, disinfectant dispensers and many other hygiene measures ensured comprehensive safety on the exhibition grounds. The exhibitors were also positively surprised.
Although there were fewer customers than last year at the exhibition stands, there were many interested parties who were able to take the time for extensive consultations. An informative stage program offered varied and entertaining lectures. In addition to information on diving destinations, current topics such as diving in times of Corona were presented.
Lovers of underwater pictures also got their money's worth at the fair. The exhibition of the Senckenberg Museum Görlitz showed various freshwater inhabitants. In the entrance area, grandiose diving scenes in large format by underwater photographer Tobias Friedrich were inspiring. Some of the pictures were auctioned on the stage at the fair auctions. All in all, a proud sum of € 2000 came together for the pictures. The money goes to the environmental protection organization AMAP, which is committed to the reforestation of the rainforest in Brazil.
Trade fair boss Walter Harscher sums up: “We are very happy that our decision to hold the InterDive Friedrichshafen was rewarded. The mood among the exhibitors was brilliant. There were good sales successes and most of the expectations of the fair were even exceeded. In this special year in particular, we thought it was very important that the industry set an example.
We would also like to thank our great audience. There were many serious interested parties who specifically sought a personal meeting on site.
The next InterDive Friedrichshafen will take place from 23 to 26 September 2021. As in 2020, the fair will start on all four days of the fair at the same time as the Interboot.
